Located in Saariselkä, Lapland, Finland, we have a huge Arctic natural park as a backyard.
We also have our own Sensory path – a nature trail that leads you to experience the healing magic of the Arctic forest.

**Arctic Sky chalet**

…is a fresh wooden house, accommodating 8 people.
There are 4 bedrooms, kitchen, living room with fireplace, 2 bathrooms and a small hybrid (tradiotional + infrared) sauna.

Please notice! We have made some changes in the Arctic Sky Chalet. During this summer we removed Kettu-room and there is now a living room instead.

**Kota**

Our cozy *kota* is a wooden hut with fireplace. You will have unforgettable moments is kota, sometimes watching us cooking by the fire, chatting and enjoying unique flavors on your plate.
Our home cooked meals are served in *kota,* or in the dining area of the main building.

**Forest Suites**

Enjoy staying in a beautiful private log forest suite (46m²). The suites are equipped with their own private kitchen, sauna, bedroom for two and living room area with fireplace. Suites are furnished individually and can accommodate 2 persons.

Our Family suite (suine 4) can accommodate 4 persons and does not have a kitchen.

Some of the suites have convertible sofa to have an extra bed for 1-2 children and one of them is pet-friendly (ask more with email or phone).

People & Philosophy

We are Minna and Aarno, your hosts and guides during your stay at Arctic Sky Resort. We breathe the nature of Finnish Lapland and prefer slow living. We want you too to have the ultimate experience of the Arctic wellness, among the luxury of silence and untouched nature.

We have quite unique backgrounds, Minna being an engineer, and Aarno having built log houses all over the Europe. We both have worked in construction field for many years. Minna is also an educated mushroom and wild herb specialist, herbal therapist, Reiki practitioner, canoeing instructor, life coach, plus yoga teacher RYT500. She studies currently Ayurveda and NLP. Aarno is born in Rovaniemi, Lapland, and Minna is originally from Southern Finland, near the capital Helsinki.

At some point of her busy life, while still being single, Minna started to travel to Lapland whenever she was able to. The contrast between the hasty working life and the serenity of the wilderness really got her thinking. Every time she went to Lapland she got her strength back, and felt like a whole new person. Only in Lapland she was able to find the peace of mind and the happiness she had been looking for.

And one beautiful day she met Aarno, and decided to stay.

Forever.

THE ARCTIC NATURE

We spend our time out there as much as we can, in every possible way – by foot, bikes, boat, canoe, skis, snowshoes, and on snowmobile when necessary. Our dogs Jörö and Kiril love to keep us company wherever we may go. The fells, the silence and the tranquility are something our hearts burst into sharing with you.

OUR PASSION IS

pure and delicious FOOD

Lappish, Finnish, Arctic, local, clean, picked from the forests by ourselves. We enjoy cooking pure food gathered from nature. We are happy to serve tasty plates of Lapland and Finland for you. As our quest you get to wish for different dishes as well. Our special diet options include vegan, gluten free and non lactose. Please inform us about your possible diets or food allergies.

BUILDING, LEARNING AND DIY

We have built all the buildings of Arctic Sky Resort by ourselves. Aarno is responsible for the design. He made most of the wooden furniture too. Minna is amazingly handy knitting socks and rugs, plus preparing natural cosmetics. We are always eager to share our knowledge and stories about Finland, Lapland, our culture and nature.

Staying at our resort you don`t have to hurry, or worry.

You don`t have to do anything.
